This is an ongoing project working to create an urban forest in cities across Orange County. It aims to combat climate change, build sustainability in a warming climate and increase the health, civic pride and property values of local residents by establishing a healthy urban forest in Orange County, CA.
Launched in 2018 by Dr. Shahir Masri and Athina Simolaris, this national outreach project has touched down in over 40 states across the country in order to raise awareness about climate change and point communities toward climate solutions. OCICE has been a proud supported of their efforts.
As part of our "Go Green Year" in 2018, OCICE launched “Seeds of Devotion," which is a seed starter project based in Orange, CA. For this project, we're collaborating with the all-volunteer community garden "Orange Home Grown," which grows, sells and offers all organic, non-GMO produce to the local community.
